ATLAS 13TeV ttbar LHE data set

Description

This dataset includes top quark pair production events generated at next to leading order in the strong coupling constant. Each file contains 16,500 matrix-element events in LHE format, along with 193 event weights including modified scales and PDF settings. The files are tarball archives, each containing a single gzipped file with events. The detailed settings used in event generation are stored in the header of each event file.

How can you use these data?

This dataset contains parton-level events generated using the POWHEG-BOX event generator. These events can be directly analysed using a package like pylhe, or they can be showered using an event generator like Pythia or Herwig. Care should be paid to using correct shower settings when the events are passed through shower event generators, in order to obtain physically meaningful results.
