Dataset Derived Education CMS CERN-LHC Parent Dataset: Datasets derived from the Run2011A SingleElectron, SingleMu, DoubleElectron, and DoubleMu primary datasets
This document contains 10k events where two electron candidates with invariant mass near the mass of Z-boson were observed. The data was selected from the primary dataset DoubleElectron 2011. These data were selected for use in education and outreach and contain a subset of the total event information. They are not suitable for a full physics analysis.
Variable | Description |
---|---|
Run | The run number of the event. |
Event | The event number. |
pt | The transverse momentum of the electron (GeV). |
eta | The pseudorapidity of the electron. |
phi | The phi angle of the electron (rad). |
Q | The charge of the electron. |
type | Either EB or EE: whether the electron is in the barrel or in the endcap. |
sigmaEtaEta | The weighted cluster rms along eta for an electron. |
HoverE | The energy of the electron in the HCAL divided by the energy of the electron in the ECAL. |
isoTrack | The isolation variable for the electron in the tracker. |
isoEcal | The isolation variable for the electron in the ECAL. |
isoHcal | The isolation variable for the electron in the HCAL. |
An event was selected if there were two electrons in the event with pT > 25 GeV and the invariant mass of the two electrons was > 60 GeV and < 120 GeV.
