Description
The ANUBIS prototype 'proANUBIS' collected data on the scaffolding of the A side of the ATLAS cavern during 2024 and 2025 pp data-taking. To assist with calibrating and measuring the performance of the proANUBIS tracking and timing for particles visible in both ATLAS and proANUBIS, this ATLAS open dataset contains events with muons or jets that have trajectories consistent with reaching proANUBIS. The ATLAS data is stored in ROOT TTrees containing the muon, jet, and muon segment information, as well as the event timing information used to synchronize the two detectors. Objects are also saved when they have trajectories consistent with the same phi as proANUBIS but inverted eta, in order to provide a control region for studying mis-matched events between the two detectors.
