Software Analysis CMS CERN-LHC

Description

This code is a CMSSW module producing flat tuples from 2011A Jet data, set up at Research level, i.e. it requires university-student-level programming experience. Minimal acquaintance with Linux and the ROOT analysis package (https://root.cern.ch/) as well as a basic text editor is needed.

The content of the resulting root file is described in readme

Use with

Use this with 2011 Jets primary dataset and QCD MC dataset (see detailed instructions in the readme file and code).

System details

Use this code with the CMS Open Data VM environment
CMSSW_5_3_32

CMS VM Image, for 2011, 2012 and 2015 CMS open data

How can you use this?

If you do not have the CERN Virtual Machine for 2011 CMS data installed, follow the instructions in step 1 at How to install a CERN Virtual Machine.

To run the analysis, follow the instructions in https://github.com/cms-opendata-validation/2011-jet-inclusivecrosssection-ntupleproduction-optimized.
