Dataset Simulated Heavy-Ion Physics Heavy-ion physics CMS 2.76TeV pp CERN-LHC

Description

Simulated dataset MinBias_TuneZ2Star_2760GeV_pythia6 in GEN-SIM-RECO format for 2013 collision data.

See the description of the simulated dataset names in: About CMS simulated dataset names.

These simulated datasets correspond to the pp collision data, needed as reference data for heavy-ion data analysis, at energy 2.76TeV collected by the CMS experiment in 2013.

Cross section

For pp collisions at 2.76TeV, this sample has a cross section of (1 +/- ) pb, calculated using the method described in CMS guide for cross sections.

This cross section takes into account a matching efficiency of 1 and a filtering efficiency of 1, based on generator settings and/or filters.

This is a leading-order value, and cross sections evaluated at next-to-leading order (NLO) or next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) should be used, if available.

Dataset characteristics

4748800 events. 116 files. 400.7 GiB in total.
